Dear Congresswoman Pelosi:

In November, 2004, 63% of San Francisco’s voters passed Prop. N; calling on the Federal government to “bring the troops safely home now.”

As our elected representative and as the House Minority Leader, we call on you to represent our will and LEAD by Initiating and Supporting Measures That Will:

1. De-fund the war: Ending the war is in the hands of Congress: vote against supplemental appropriations bills for war and occupation of Iraq. Redirect the billions of dollars spent monthly in Iraq to meeting human needs.

2. Withdraw the troops: Implement a plan for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

3. Leave NO Bases: Ensure that there are No permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq.

4. Nationalize Reconstruction: While the U.S. is responsible for funding the reconstruction of Iraq; Iraqis must control reconstruction funds. Terminate contracts with U.S. contractors and turn projects over to Iraqis.
