Rally and March in S.F. and D.C.
Our plans in San Francisco are to have the memorial panels, Iraqi Names, Soldiers Faces on the median at 18th and Dolores before the march, during the earlier rally as people gather. We have the new cards with much contact info. We have simple cards that introduce people to the panels. People should bring your own signs for marching with.
UFPJ member groups are welcome and encouraged to gather your contingents among the memorial panels, and help hold them and promote the Sept. 26 Day of Action.

Defund the War, Defend Our Communities
Nancy Pelosi is the House Minority Leader but where is she leading? We call on Representative Pelosi to take action to end the war.
When: Noon
Where: Federal Bldg, SF, 450 Golden Gate Ave.
(near the Civic Center Plaza, and a few blocks from the Civic Center BART/MUNI stop)
Why? Because Nancy Pelosi, the House Democratic Leader, continues to vote to fund the war and to duck meetings with her constituents on the subject. Find out more about her voting record.
We are inviting people to bring quilt panels. The unifying theme is the way in which the war in Iraq is robbing us of vital resources. The quilt will be a tangible, visual representation of how our communities and the issues we struggle with are linked. Follow this linkfor more information about how to make a panel. Of course, all are welcome, with or without panels.
More details are on our flyer.
We encourage redistribution and posting of all these materials.
